I really like this game
I really like this game, it's my first time playing any Pokémon game that isn't Pokémon Go. Me and my boyfriend are playing the games together (he got Pokémon scarlet ?) and it's very fun!

Here for a Time, Not Good or Long
Let's start off with how the game is incredibly buggy. Most times it also runs at extremely low frame rate. You have to constantly close the game and restart to fix it. This is unacceptable for a Nintendo title. They took all the good parts of the previous entries of sword/shield

    Fun game, horribly buggy
The game is really fun, but even then it's really hard to look past the bugs. This game is clearly unfinished and was rushed out for the holiday release. Between game crashes, game assets not loading in correctly, long load times from a memory leak, low framerates, choppy animations, and a wide variety of other bugs, I cannot give this a positive or even neutral review. However, if these things were to eventually get patched I would definitely change my review to a 5 star review. Simply put, the game needed another year of development time, but it was pushed out anyway to meet release timelines for the anime, trading card game, and other merchandise. Again, it is a lot of fun, but clearly not ready.

    Used
Item came damaged, opened and missing the manual. Walmart is replacing but I have to find a FedEx place to return it. Very inconvenient in our small county :(

    Average Pokémon Game
I want to start this review off by saying I absolutely love Pokémon and have been a big fan of the games since I was a child. My husband and I were super excited for Scarlet and Violets release, so we decided to purchase both versions. The game/story line isn't bad, hence the three star review, but it has a lot of issues that should be addressed. In my opinion, the graphics are poor for a 2022 release, and I often have to take breaks because the erratic camera and visual issues cause a bit of motion sickness. I've never experienced this with a game before, but discovered others online were having the same problem with Scarlet and Violet. The characters and layout of the game are decent, and I do like the open world concept. It does feel like the Pokémon are more alive in this game because you will see them sleeping, flying around, or climbing trees, which I think adds something special to the gameplay experience. If the graphics and details had been thought out and executed more carefully, I believe this would have been an incredible game. The visual quality of a video game really makes or breaks the playing experience; Therefore, I personally wouldn't have purchased this game if it weren't for the novelty of collecting and experiencing the excitement of a new Pokémon title. Overall, I'd probably skip this version unless some of the issues are addressed through an update.

Needed More Finishing, Still A Great Game
I know this game has a lot of issues with glitches and such, and I agree that it probably should have had another year in development before release. However, I am enjoying this game SO MUCH. The open world aspect is incredible, and I've already sunk hours into it. It's a great game to relax and play.

In-Game Refreshment Set missing but okay game
I've been having fun playing the game without intensive knowledge or experience with Pokemon games aside from a few when I was a child. The frame rates and graphic issue people mentioned exist. It doesn't bother me as much as others since it's a Pokemon game- didn't really expect the best out from it. However if you played the other Pokemon switch games, this might be an issue for you. I'm only giving 3 stars though because of the said issues and I haven't really received the In-Game Refreshment Set advertised by Walmart.

Love the game! The service? Not so much.
I love the game so far, so I'll give 4 stars for that. HOWEVER, I will NOT get another game preordered through Walmart. My package showed up late 3 days after the release (I preordered the 7th in hopes of it being on time on the 18th) and it came in some really odd cardboard shipping packet. No bubble wrap or anything. If this was a disc it could've been damaged easily. Overall, great game, horrible shipping and quality of service.

Good, but plays like a beta version
Lots of interesting ideas that would be great if they fully finished it. The world in this game is still buggy and horribly animated. The NPC's are very choppy moving around sometimes only refreshing once every second or two. The battles are much less animated than I expected. There is no player movement during the battle, the Pokemon attacks are a lot less animated... it just feels a lot more static than what we got in legends arceus. The world itself is very badly textured, it looks like you are walking across green carpet with barley moving grass and trees thrown on top. The camera constantly cuts under the world and displays the big white void underneath it. The menus lag a little and don't look as good as they did in legends. Overall I would say this feels more like a game in beta devolpment than a finished game. The npc animations are very bad, the world feels like a giant carpet with stuff thrown on it that doesn't integrate with it very well, the camera keeps going underneath the world, the battles are static compared with the battles we got in legends... Hopefully there will be some patches!

Game is good but the wait is too long
Took way too long to recieve due to Fedex driving it from Kentucky to Missouri * the state i live in* to Kansas instead of just delivering in straight to me. I gave up and went to my local walmart and bought a copy yesterday so now Im giving this copy to my brother who hasn't played pokemon in years. Moral of this story: never preorder a game through walmart online, just go buy it in the store.
