I will keep buying this unit as needed.
The bottom release is great because there is no need to turn the chimney upside down to empty the coals.

the plate inside the chimney is not stable
I'm a weekend cook I could imagine how a professional would truly be aggravated by it not holding up

    Definitely recommend
    Love it, works exactly as it says it will including the time it takes to get coals ready. Gets rid of the need for lighter fluid, making the flavor so much better. Do recommend using a glove of some sort to release the coals even with the heat shield/coating.

    Awesome charcoal dumper
    The chargriller charcoal holder.was much easier too dump charcoal with the quick release handle.very well made in construction.

    Mmmmmm
    Kinda bummed out about the bottom plate. For some reason it doesn't like to release unless I mess around with it or I have it at a certain angle.

    I would buy another one if this wears out
    It's a great charcoal starter and plus you don't have to pour the charcoal all you have to do is squeeze the handle and it falls out of the bottom! Just love it!

    Love the trapdoor design
    I've been using charcoal chimneys for year. This is the best design yet. The trapdoor feature allows you to dump the hot charcoal safely.

    The best charcoal chimney in the BBQ game!
    The Char-Griller Charcoal Chimney is the best charcoal chimney in the BBQ game and one of my favorite all time BBQ accessories. It easily ignites my charcoal with all natural charcoal starters, newspapers, olive oil with a paper towel and also using the side burner on my duel fuel Hybrid grill/smoker. The trigger release is awesome and no dumping charcoal! If your on the market for a chimney or want to stop dumping charcoal this charcoal chimney by Char-Griller is the way to go.
