Excellent features, even better price
You can't beat this unit for the price. As others have said - DO THE FIRMWARE UPDATE! After that it works perfect. For the price, features and an actual volume knob with android auto - go for it!

Not worth it
Got this on sale at Walmart figured I'd try it for the price. Set it all up and when I go to program radio station presets unit freezes then keeps rebooting itself. Not worth the hassle. Everything else works fine. If you aren't going to use radio stations and just want the CarPlay/auto along with Bluetooth and usb function it's a deal. If you listen to morning or sports talk radio not for you.

    Nire aftermarket android auto for my 2005 car
    Android Auto works well, though it is only wired, not wireless. Haven't tried the speakers yet because this thing is driving my factory speakers so well, I'm not sure if I need to go through the effort of swapping. Probably will though. Sound is good, bluetooth and android auto work great. I don't have iPhone to test Carplay. The built in menus are slightly distorted/stretched like they look in the photos, but it looks fine when doing android auto. Decent configuration options, and the learn feature works well enough for steering wheel controls. Unfortunately, the play/pause button doesn't work for Android auto (this is also true for the remote's play/pause button). I installed in a 2005 Prius with a dash kit and wiring kit. Worked perfectly on first boot, but it was not obvious how to set up the steering wheel control wiring. For those with this and a Prius: There's a connector that went into the factory radio that you don't connect to any aftermarket radio. With your dash kit, you'll get a resistor to use to connect between two of the five wires on this connector. The steering wheel controls are connected to the other three wires. SWC GND goes to the remaining Red one, and the other two go to KEY1 and KEY2. Doesn't matter which because of the auto learn function.

    Great purchase firmware update may be required 4 u
    Purchased in store and installed in our 2009 Malibu. All functions work great the only exception is that if we attempt to program the channel presets the radio with freeze and cycle on and off every 15 seconds. The reset button next to the USB port makes it easy to fix until I have time to configure the update which I have read is pretty easy. Otherwise you we can just dial to a radio station but be don't listen to the radio much anyway so there's been no rush to update the firmware. The main purpose for the purchase is to have the Apple CarPlay function and it works perfectly. Call quality it is great and speakers work very well. In all it's been a great purchase. Hoping to purchase another one for our 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan

    First thing I did per all the reviews is update the firmware. Hooked up the 2 of the included speakers out of the car and they were so quiet even at half max volume. Then it came time to actually install it spent time soldering all the connections. Fired it up and instantly theres static. Cut all the speaker wires and tried the rca outputs. Again a lot of static. Cut all the wires put it on the bench hooked up the supplied speakers. At first i didnt hear the static but since theyre so low quality and have to max the volume to even hear anything i placed my ear to the speakers and you could hear the static. Not sure if its just an unlucky bad unit or what? Any type of amplification shows the static and its terrible.

    Great price for an Android / Apple Car Play radio. Was easy to install. At first, it didn't seem like there was enough power (max volume and still not loud) to listen to Pandora or other music apps from my Samsung ZFOLD 3 phone. After the firmware update, the sound and AM/FM radio signal got better. The volume got louder. Rear view camera on the screen is clear. The front camera setup seems clear also. The screen response is great. I didn't have to double tap too many times to change anything on the screen. My dislike is that the Android Auto can't be used wireless / Bluetooth. You will need to plug in a USB cable to have the Android Auto App turned on. Then you can use Google Maps on the radio. I like to use my cigarette adapter for charging my Samsung phone when driving because it is a quick charger and can charge my phone very fast. When using the radio's USB slot, the charging of my Samsung phone is charged at a slow rate so I may not want to use the Google Maps on the radio if my battery is low. I wished they could had had some quick charging port. I haven't used the speakers yet that came as a bundle.

    GARBAGE
    DO NOT BUY , I put 1 in my motorhome, I noticed it would reset itself then started working, came out to motorhome to do the firmware update now can't even get it to do anything BIG WASTE OF MONEY GOING BACK TO WALMART TOMORROW TO GET MONEY BACK AND RETURN THE OTHER ONE ALSO..

    Great for the price
    It's a great little radio with surprising specs, did have to update the firmware due to a glitch with it freezing while setting radio stations but other than that's it's buttery smooth and has a ton of great features for the price with true 4V pre-outs.

    Awesome unit!
    For the price you can't beat this unit. Lots of great features and even a remote. Speakers are better than decent. Touch screen is very responsive. If you're on a budget, this is the one. I put it in a 2000 tacoma project truck. Recommend getting a vehicle specific harness if you have an older car.

    do the update! i am pleased with the stereo and speakers. i like now having bluetooth and the option for android auto and apple car play are nice. the microphone on the stereo works well for making calls. note about the update. i downloaded and did the file unzip. stereo wasnt taking the update. that is when i learned the park wire has to be hooked up or grounded to by pass and allow the jumpdrive to be found. once i did that the update took about 60 seconds. i found this at a locate walmart and it was clearanced to 90 bucks, so I'm very please and the speakers sound better than me Sony speakers.

    Very Happy with it for the value/price!
    I read reviews before I purchased. Noticed the poor reviews and realized that with proper installation (which I did myself) there should not be any issues. Well fortunately I must have done it right! The unit itself is actually impressive with features it has to offer… I have not used car play yet and installing 2 more speakers soon. As with previous comments in reviews I may have to agree that the speakers are better then what I replaced but just adequate. My vehicle is a 2010 Chevrolet Express 4500 ambulance( converting to RV) and it required a Scosche harness adapter and I used the Metra housing adapter. I'm happy with it for the price!
