Love this product!
This mix is the best I've found for raised bed gardening. I mix it at ratio 2 parts Promix with 1 part composed manure. Adequate but not excessive perlite, great water and nutrient retention without compacting and becoming waterlogged. Added bonus is that the bag is heavy quality material that keeps rainwater out during storage in outdoor retail lots so soil isn't a wet mess to work with and you don't have to carry an additional 10 lbs of water when you buy it. The bag is also recyclable.

Easy to carry and no mess
One bag nearly filled a 20 inch planter. Four bags filled 2 -22.5 inch pots and 1 20 inch. Not sure how this compares to other mixes like Miracle-Gro or Foxfarm. Does make easy carry and no mess in the car.

    Perfect Potting Soil.
    Love this potting medium. Perfect for both houseplants veggies. It's compressed so you get so much more than what you think. And Wal-Mart had it for such a great price. Sadly, it has been continuously out of stock for months.

    The Absolute best!
    I swear by this. My plants love it and thrive in it. ive grown all different veggies, herbs, and flowers. They all love it. i do add fertilizer after a month or two. At rhe end of the season i use it in my compost bin for next season. Im not going back to anything else.

    Easy to work with!
    These cubes or bales, are sooo easy to work with! They come just as soil and you add your favorite mix in with it, such as worm castings or vermiculite. I have found that it needs something to separate the soil after it goes in a pot. If you're using it around plants, then it seems to not need anything with it, unless you just want to add something to it. I like worm castings myself!

    Perfect for my pepper seedlings!!!
    I'm a pepper grower (34 varieties and nearly 250 plants this year). The key to success with peppers, especially super hot varieties, is moisture control. Over watering can be near fatal. Most of my plants will be in containers this year and Pro-Mix Moisture is perfect for my seedling transplants. It holds enough moisture to feed my plants without drowning them. The fact that it has Mycorrhizae added to it and doesn't have fertilizer premixed is an even bigger bonus. For those who don't know, Mycorrhizae is a fungi that actively helps the roots take up nutrients. This is my first year using this soil and my seedlings are thriving.

    My New Favorite Potting Mix.
    I'm comparing this against BX ProMix which is what the pros use. To me, the texture is even better and easier to use. It's not as compressed as BX, but it does expand and is slightly moist which makes it easy to break apart. I add osmocote for nutrients. It also has Mycorrhizae which is good for the plants. I had to go inside Walmart to find this product and there's not much of it. The size is nice - heavy, but not too heavy to lift with one arm.

    Great Value for Excellent Seed Starting!
    My favorite soil for seed starting and for gardening in containers. It drains well and stays moist, but not too moist. I mix it with Compost and sifted top soil for use in outdoor containers.

    Great mix! Keep selling it!
    Please keep selling this stuff! Love it! Been trying to find a new seed/potting mix these last couple years and finally did the research and heard about Promix. This particular bag is hard to find and only available at Walmart in my area (Raleigh, NC). I had a horrible experience with Miracle Gro killing all of my seedlings and plants last year (the crap never dried out even though I had stopped watering) and I absolutely hate how the big box stores here keep trying to shove MG down our throats. The price is good for what you get. Its compressed and expands so I feel the value is great for quantity and the mix is very fine and soft. My transplants are loving it. Wish I found Promix sooner. Doesnt dry out too fast but also doesnt retain moisture too long. Seems to be just right.
