Love the quart pot with see through lid
Upon opening the box, i was impressed with the shine on the one quart pot, and I absolutely LOVE the see through lid. The steam vent on the lid is very useful. I washed it up and started using it, first I cooked corn in it. It worked fantastic, I can't say enough good about it, I honestly love this pot. Then I washed it up and used it to cook green beans in. That too worked fantastic. It did not cook over at all because of the steam vent in the lid. The pot was exactly the right size for my husband and me. I loved how the pot washed up afterwards. The shine stayed on the pot after I washed it. The food did NOT stick in the pot and I loved that. The lid held in the juices so the food was moist and delicious. I have only had this pot for a day, but already, I am not sure how I ever did without it. If you are looking for the right size pot, one that cleans up easily, one that does not take up too much space, and one you cannot live without, this is the pot.

Not a good investment
The design is visually very good. The handle is riveted in place, the lid has a strainer function built in, and it looks very similar to my current set, all Stainless steel so oven safe. When I picked it up though I was floored at how light weight it is. This 1qt. saucepan would be fine for heating up some veggies or a can of beans if that was the only questionable thing. I can't say there's much else I would use a 1qt. saucepan for. However after the first use I noticed after first use there is a ring of rust visible from the inside that mirrors the center of the disc bottom. I dont even have a dishwasher, everything in my house is handwash only... Not sure whats causing it, but if I scour it away it comes right back? Not safe for my familys food, sorry. Other notes: yes the handle gets hot on my gas stove. All my cookware does unless the handle is coated in something. No fault. The Lid: I love the strainer lid but without more of an indention in one side of the pot to allow the strainer to work, it just pours AWFUL. I tried a couple times with just water in the pot and the pour spout feature is just a poor design. Oh and I guess I will also say it rattles. Something is loose between the disc and the bottom of the pan itself. Not a good investment, and cookware is an investment.

    Not what I was expecting
I am very impressed with this stainless steel pan. Cooks food up a little faster than some of the other pans I have. It cleans up from easily and it is a wonderful pan. I just wish they would have UT something on the handle to protect your hand. I have to make sure I have a hot ad sitting right next to the stove. I will definitely be looking for more of these pans to purchase and hopefully Crete me a new set with them. I would recommend buying these.

    Many uses
This three quart sauce pan out of the package is strong and shiny. Very sturdy built. I have used it many times in the past two weeks. Once for a pot roast and once for cooking potatoes. The straining lid is handy too. Easy cleaning was my favorite part of this sauce pan.

    Nice little stainless steel pan
This one quart sauce pan and lid with a steam hole is very light weight so it's great for someone with arthritis in the wrist. Just the right size for sauces , rice , etc. for a small serving. The handle stays cool also. I would have given it a five star however when I used it for the first time a permanent circle appeared at the bottom of the pan it wasn't anything that stuck to it because I only boiled water in it before use. You will see the circle in the picture I download. It doesn't effect the use of the pan but it doesn't look good.

    3 Quart Saucepan
This saucepan it the perfect size, 3 quart. It cleans up so easy. It is not too heavy for me. I love that you can see through the top. I didn't have to use anything but reg. dish soap and a sponge to clean it. I made chili in it for the first time using it and you know that it can cake up on the sides, well it all came out so easy.

    Perfect for daily cooking
I love the sauce pan. The lid is perfect for cooking and with the vent port it does not over flow. Strainer side works perfectly for draining foods. The handle is hollow and stays cool during cooking. Must follow manufacturing guide lines on medium to low heat settings or bottom will burn. There is an open seam on the underside of the handle that pinched my finger tips when the pot was full and I went to drain pasta.

    Works well and handy.
I received the Mainstays 3 Quart Sauce Pan with Straining Lid for review. I've used it several times. I really like it. There is a small pour spout on the pan and the lid has drain holes. You line them up and it works great. I wish the pour spout was on the opposite side of the pan though. I'm right handed and it feels more like a left handed pour. It cleaned up well in my dishwasher as well. I would have given 5 stars but the pan is a little light weight. Overall the Mainstays 3 Quart Sauce Pan with Straining Lid worked as I would have expected it to. And I would recommend it to my friends.

    Great pot
This pot is stainless steel. It comes with a draining lid (see photo) so if you are making pasta or rice, you can drain out the liquid over the sink without using a colander. This is a handy feature. It is lighter weight than I expected for stainless steel, but is a good quality. I like the glass lid to see inside while cooking something.

Perfect sized sauce pan with strainer lid
3 quart sized is perfect for homemade puddings, pasta, sauces, even some dry beans or rice for me! It's nice stainless steel with a strainer on the side of the glass lid. It heats easily with no worries for scratches if you use a metal spoon. It's also oven and dishwasher safe. Love this product!

    My favorite saucepan
This saucepan has become my go-to saucepan. I use it almost every day. It has 3-quart capacity, is made of stainless steel, and is oven and dishwasher safe. It has a heat/shatter resistant glass lid that has a built-in strainer option and a vent hole. At first, I thought there was a dent in the lip of the pan but it turned out to be an easy pour spout. I cook a lot of pasta and I really love the straining option of this pan. It works beautifully. After cooking some pasta, I was able to hold the outer end of the handle without using a mitt. The handle was only too warm to touch where the handle touches the main body of the pan. I have put it in the dishwasher many times with no issues. I highly recommend this saucepan.

    Great addition to your kitchen.
The Mainstays Stainless Steel 3qrt Saucepan with Straining Lid is the perfect size to fit on the burner of my stove. The saucepan has a built in strainer in the lid which is a bonus. I have used this saucepan several times and it is now my go to pan. I did boil potatoes and it left spots in the pan even after I washed it several times. After researching I found that white calcium stains can build up on the pan. I put one part vinegar to three parts water and left it in the pan for a little while. The spots came out and the pan is as good as new. I have before and after pictures. I really like this pan and use it frequently.
