Telescoping
This leaf skimmer can easily be reduced in size by simply twisting the two-piece handle. The skimmer frame also easily disconnects from the sturdy aluminum, telescoping pole. It should fit in a pool equipment deck box. I actually use the skimmer in my horses 100 gallon stock tanks to help keep them clean of leaves, insects, etc.

worked great for about 5wks
I liked the pool skimmer even though the pole is abit on the short side. The netting held up just fine, but it has only been 5wks. The pole snapped where you adjust the length of the pole. It has 2 places on the pole to adjust length. It separated at the lower one.

    Spectacular Skimmer!
    This skimmer is perfect - it has a 42 inch telescopic pole, making it easy to reach all areas of the pool, and also for convenient storage and for carrying. The skimmer itself is curved to collect and hold debris efficiently. The net is puncture resistant and so far no holes or tears! Great skimmer!

    One really great thing about this net is the soft edges. This makes me feel confident that I won't cause nay damage when Cleaning out the leaves. Also it's very light weighted Which is awesome. Because that makes it easier to Use for scooping up the leaves. I would recommend this net For those who are looking for one to clean their pond or pool.

    Great Smaller Pool Skimmer
    We live in the the Chicagoland area so our “pool” season is very limited to Summer. To be honest we have just a large blow up pool in the backyard for our young kids. We love using a skimmer because we leave it filled for multiple days without draining. My husband originally got a pole-less skimmer and we really need to get into the pool to do it. This skimmer with the retractable pool as been SO much nicer. I can't speak to the wear and tear as we've only had it a month but the pool will make it easier to tap out the leaves/waste. I am concerned over all little the white plastic pin is that locks it into place. Will it pop too far in over time? If there is any stretched areas of the net it says circular hand motions will restore the shape! So far so good in the quality!

    Awesome quality
    This is a super sturdy skimmer pole. Some we've had in the past, especially the clock together kind, the kids snap off the pole part pretty quickly. Not this one! I love the No tear mesh as well, it's not just puncture resistant, it doesn't let super small things get through like many do. It's a super fine mesh but really tough! I'm glad it's somehow light at the same time due to a slight disability of mine as well which makes joint mobility difficult for me. This gives me no issues and allows me to remain helpful and that means so much!

    Works Great
    This pool skimmer works great. I love that it is spoon shaped so that it is easier to skim larger items and more things before having to empty it. I also like the adjustable handle. It's perfect for people like me that like to skim the pool while swimming in the pool. I just wish it got longer. It's a little short for use in an inground pool while standing on the side.

    Just what we needed!
    I received this Mainstays professional pool Leaf skimmer with aluminum handle and it is just what we needed. It snapped together very easily and we could use it right away. It came in perfect time for when we were opening our pool for the season. I love the feature of the one edge being flat and straight so that it can be used to reach down, and glide along the bottom, and grab leaves along the bottom of the pool. It made cleaning the pool super easy. I'm short so the extendable handle really comes in great use. To store this in our pool shed, we just fold up the handle so that it takes up less space. Overall, we were really impressed what's the quality of this Mainstays professional Leaf skimmer with the aluminum handle. I would definitely recommend this to anyone else looking for an affordable, extendable Leaf net / Leaf skimmer.

    Works!; Flat edge great!
    I used this leaf skimmer net for my in ground gunite pool. The best part of this net is that is has a flet edge at the end that makes it very easy to scoop up debris out of the pool. Also, the net is very close and tight knit that it gets the very small water bugs that sometimes get in the pool. The 42 inch pole is light weight and lengthy enough that I can use the net to scoop my entire pool all the way to the middle. I highly recommend this net with the flat edge. It will make keeping your pool clean for the supper a lot easier!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

    Mainstays professional pool leaf skimmer is exactly what you need for your pool, helps keep all that debris off the top. Keeps a cleaner pool which is good for everybody! It is really easy to put together, literally few snaps and on to cleaning pools! I like the flat part on the net that I can get globs of dirt on and out of the pool. Very convenient!

    Wouldn't recommend for a full size pool
    I prefer this flat edge leaf skimmer over standard skimmers. It allows you to pick up the smallest debris. However, pay careful attention to the length of the pole. This particular model is sufficient for skimming around the sides of the pool &/or Jacuzzi. A longer pole is needed for a full size pool. I am hoping the quality of the net is better than the last skimmer I bought. It tore around the frame. Overall, this seems like a well made product.
