Mind Blowing
I really wish these were around when I was a kid. The possibilities are endless with this set. There are 529 pieces and a motor included in this set. Being able to make your creations actually move is amazing. I love the book that is included. It gives you great ideas you can expand on to make even more awesome builds. Going to see if they sell the motor separately to create a multi-powered theme park. I received this item through the SparkReviewer program in exchange for my honest opinion of the item. The box says it is for children ages 7-12, but I think they should extend it to Adults because I think I had more fun playing with it than my 11 year old did. We were fussing over who was going to get to use the motor. Love these play sets!

Cool toy but not for my son
This is kind of a confusing review. On one hand I do think this is a very cool toy and is worthy of being recommended, it's just not a good fit for MY son. These are detailed building sets, great for focus and concentration, something my son struggle with. While he did enjoy jusyvlkaying with random pieces and putting them together, he doesn't enjoy following the actual instructions and putting it together and intended. I will say that this is the second knex set we've opened tonight and the first one was packed pull of parts while this one had a huge box but not much inside in comparison. Bottom line, if your child likes to be challenged and doeantbattuggle with concentration then these toys are great. Great brain fuel in my opinion.

    Carry "box" is the cardboard one it comes in.
    The description mentions a carry case/box but it's the cardboard box it comes in. The cardboard is thicker than standard and will work to carry it. Just be careful not to damage box when opening. This set comes with ample amounts of quality pieces sorted in bags. It contains one motor. The instruction manual has directions for 16 models and then "idea" pages. The box says 50 models but you don't get directions for that many. Also, not all the listed models make use of the motor. This set does have the potential to make a lot of cool stuff. Overall, My teens and I approve of this kit.

    This set is amazing. Especially in the world of STEM technology this set definitely meets STEM standards. It has 529 pieces along with a motor to motorize your creations. It also comes with a manual that gives you directions on how to build 5 different power models or you can use your imagination and build you own. This will definitely keep your kids busy for hours. The items are well packed in heavy sealed packages. It is for ages 7-12 but I have no doubt that older kids would enjoy it as well. I myself struggled a little with the visual and written model directions. It says you can make up to 50 different models. I particularly love how it builds your imagination. The motor brings your creations to life. My own kids grew up with K'nex but it is definitely more high tech now. If you have never seen K'nex the pieces are made of heavy duty plastic so they will last forever.

    Awesome set!
    I would highly recommend this for kids 6 and older. Its a great set that inspires creativity. My son has always loved to know how things work and to put things together. This set is great for that. There are a ton of pieces (many small) that you have to be careful with because theyre easily misplaced.

    My little builder, my seven year old son, is absolutely in love with this k'nex set! This one is so different and fun because you can really make your creativity fly! There are so many possibilities with this set, its/s amazing! The battery pack is an added bonus, to actually watch his creations come to life! it was fairly simple to put together with my seven year old, who has been playing with toys and that build since he was about three years old. He really gets into it, and loves imaginative play. It might be a little difficult for some if they are not used to it at this age, but he is on the youngest end of the ages listed on the box. Overall, it's a great set and we loved building it together- and the fun part is- we can take it apart and do it all over again-again and again! Family time is our favorite time- and when you make family time play time- it's a win for everyone!! My husband also had a lot of fun building with our son, and I loved watching them come up with new ideas for the various pieces. It was a great time, and will live on for a quite because the pieces are very greatly made.

    Creative...
    This building set is not just fun it's creative. Not only can you build the car or building you can actually have it move. 50 different pieces that allow you to be the builder. It does come with instructions to guide you to many different ideas. But in the end it's just you and your friends building what you can dream up. Box doubles as a case with a handle. Perfect gift for sure.

    Hours of fun!
    This review is for the K'NEX Imagine - Power & Play Motorized Building Set. Wow what a cool set! This is truly hours of fun not only for my 9 year old son but for me and my husband as well! We were all so into this that we missed dinner the other night LOL! It has 529 pieces in this set with connectors, rods and wheels that all fit together. It has a motor included to make the things come to life which I think was the coolest part about this set. The reusable box with handles makes this super easy to bring anywhere and to store it. This really kept not only our attention but my ADHD son's attention for hours. He has another K'NEX set as well that he just got so between the two he has had non stop entertainment this week. I have never heard of these before this but now I know for sure this will not be the last set we get for our son for sure! Really great way to get the kids aways from the electronics and get them doing something where they need to use their brains and hands. Really happy with these sets and definitely recommend.

    Dream Toy for Young Builders
    K'NEX Imagine - Power & Play Motorized Building Set is a hit with my nine year old son. He loves any type of building set especially if a motor comes with it. Over the years he has built many different brand sets and not all are created equal. K'NEX always comes with easy to follow instructions and quality made pieces. I also like that the box it comes in is strong cardboard with a handle allowing you to keep the pieces in for storage. He has built a few K'NEX sets prior to this one and has enjoyed the challenge. The biggest advantage to this set is that it comes with 50 different possible builds! When the package came in the mail and he opened the box, he was so excited and thrilled to get working on it. He rushed to add the batteries into the motor and immediately started on a race car. Once done, he tested out the speed of the race car and watched it go across the wood floor and carpet with ease. Luckily, I took a quick picture of it for the review! He had it taken apart in seconds so he could build the motorized basketball game next. The basketball game has stayed built longer since him and his sister have been playing it for two days now! Now, I'm wishing I would have purchased this set as a Christmas present for him because I feel like anything else he gets will be dull in comparison. Even the three-in-one Lego sets don't even come close to all the unique building options in this 529 part K'NEX set. He literally could build one model each day for 50 days! This is a bonus for me since I like thinking of create homework ideas for my kids that are fun, teach STEAM and teach following instructions. This set provides all three. Plus, building these is such a great family activity. Although my daughter is too young for a set like this, she enjoyed helping me sort the pieces by color and we even counted pieces to practice counting. This allowed all three of us to feel engaged in one fun learning experience together. The most fun comes when when the kids imagination turns on and they start making their own inventions out of the pieces!

    Way cooler than the ones I had
    This is a great generic building kit for the kids comes with multiple projects, but enough bits for making your own designs. Easy to integrate the motors, making the projects come alive. I wish the box came with better storage. Had to put all the bits in ziploc bags.
