nice inexpensive camp mug
This is a nice economical vacuum insulated camp mug by Igloo. Its light weight, sturdy, stainless steel with a handle and closable drinking lid. I am not sure how the vacuum insulation compares to other brands like Yeti, but any vacuum insulation is still far better than not having any for keeping coffee hot and ice drinks cold for longer than 1 hour. It takes me hours to finish my coffee, and any old fashion coffee mug will be cold in less than an hour.

Disappointed
This a first negative review I have ever done. The top of the mug screws on and leaks unless I really put the pressure on. I guess I tightened it too much and had to beat it off with a hammer and it shattered everywhere and it is still screwed on.! Keeping things cold, great. It does do that. Now its in the recycle bin and I have to look for another one.

    You can't go wrong with Igloo!
    What a great addition to my igloo products. This little mug is going to get some great use! It keeps my cold beverage's cold, and come this winter, my hot beverage's hot. It is perfect for traveling. The flip lid keeps it from spilling. The twist top ensures that the lid stays on. The flip of the lid also has a seal to it. I like that it has the handle, but do feel like it could be a bit more sturdier. I feel like the handle could possibly break at some point. I feel like the dark navy is a good color and won't show as much wear and tear. Good choice and a great price!

    Great for Outdoors!
    We received this Igloo camp mug a week ago. I've enjoyed it so far. It has been really nice to have it for camping. I like to drink hot tea when it gets cold at night. The mug keeps it hot for about six hours, and keeps water cold in the daytime for about 12 hours. So it is nice to have on a long hike as well to help me cool down. I like to bring a mug like this when I go skiing on a cold winter day and sip some hot tea on the ski lifts. I am hoping to go skiing a lot this year and bring this mug with me. This one is 18 fl oz. I wish it was a little bigger. But since it is not very big I usually put it in the backpack side pocket, and it is good to have it close by. It seems to be spill-proof. It is of good quality and it seems like it will last a long time. I am happy about the overall of the product. I would recommend this camp mug to my friends and family or anyone who likes to go outdoors.

    Quality item made well.
    Got this great camp mug and tested it out, it does keep my coffee hot for more then 6 hours and at least 6 hours icy cold with ice cubes still intact. Using this product in the summer months right now and using it at work during my shift only but would be interested to find out if it will keep things cold up to 12 hours, possibly so! I like that it is spill proof carry it on the outside pocket of my backpack, that it has a nice handle, great for small hands.

    a decent average mug (for its kind)
    There are a lot of double insulated steel mugs on the market, and this one strikes me to be as good as most of them from a pure performance perspective. From the label, this mug holds 18 fluid ounces and keeps liquids cold for 12 hours and liquids hot for 6 hours. I didnt time how long it took for ice to melt, or for hot soup to get cold, but since this is a pretty standard claim from various other double insulated mugs I've seen, I have no reason to doubt it. My use case for it quite modest- I use this at home when working, and in the summers, I need my ice water to stay cold for the duration that I'm drinking it, which is quick because I drink a lot of water all the time, so this is a small ask for this product. In the winters, I need it to keep my coffee hot for as long as I'm drinking, which is comparable longer than how quickly I drink cold water. That would be a greater test, but it's summer now, and this mug has done a fine job with cold water. I like the white colorway- it looks classy and clean. I also like that this mug has a handle, but it's quite thin, so I dont think it'd be a big deal if a handle wasn't there. One minor issue with my mug handle is that it has a chip in it, which I dont love, but it's cosmetic, and I dont think it should affect the performance of the mug long term, unless the material isn't stainless steel, and it eventually rusts. we will see what happens. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with this mug, and I think it's great value for the price. I have other mugs from higher end competitors, and you can tell that the materials in this product feel slightly inferior, especially the plastic used for the top. It doesn't have a great look and feel, but the good news is that the top is a screw on, and once it's capped tightly, it prevents leaks. Make sure that the opening clasp is tightly pushed down, otherwise, water obviously would spill out.

    Kind of a Disappointment
    When I first tried this mug on a cup of coffee, I was really happy with it. My favorite thing about it is the plastic used to make the lid. It is so smooth that it feels like polished glass. Each sip is pleasant. The problem is that when you twist the lid on, you have to adjust it to line up with where your mouth goes when holding the handle. I suppose after using it for a while, the gasket will wear down and the spout will be way off when tight. The handle is not very comfortable to hold on to, but it's manageable. But my main issue is with the way the handle is attached to the cup. I washed it today after one use and there is already rust at the weld points! So bummed! I'll continue to use it until it gets ugly, but I would expect better quality control from Igloo.

    I have already used this Igloo mug in the morning with coffee. It's keeps the coffee hot when you put the lid on the mug. I like the handle and use it frequently. The mug does get hot so it is best to use the handle. The quality of this product is good and it looks expensive. I recommend it.

    Nice looking Mug
    I personally really like the size and feel of this cup in my hand. The smooth surface of the cup makes it easy to wash off any dirt. However, when my husband uses the cup he says that the handle just gets in the way, it is not comfortable to hold on too . ( He has large hands.) He also found that if the cap was not screwed on really tight the mouth piece does not align correctly and it is awkward. I would recommend this mug, but my husband would not.

    The igloo 18oz stainless steel red camp mug is bright red in color the stainless steel is thick and well made the handle attatched to the mug could have been bigger I could only fit three fingers in to hold it wear as I usually use 4 to get a better grasp , I wasn't very happy with the lid it was made out of cheap plastic the kind were if you banged it the wrong way or dropped it ,it would instantly break and the seal for the lid was thin and cheaply made ,would have given a five star if it wasn't for the handle and lid does hold my coffee hot though.
