Macchiato's choice (and her daddy agrees)
Who could resist this face? I rescued Macchiato after she was abandoned on the street outside my office at about 10 months of age. Many years ago, I took care of my neighbor's pet while he was deployed in Iraq. He (and his veterinarian) insisted that I feed only Iams. I quickly appreciated that the food is 100% nutrition with no needless fillers. Years later, Iams was the only choice of food when I bought supplies for my new little girl. Mackie devoured her first bowl of Minichunks and continues to be enthusiastic about breakfast and dinner, although she has let me know that she prefers her food moistened with a little bit of water. She is healthy, happy and full of energy. Everyone who meets her comments on her beautiful, soft fur coat, and they ask if I give her any supplements. I answer, "No, just Iams." This food is not the least expensive on the shelf, but when you consider what's in it, it is a good value, indeed.

BE AWARE OF WORMS
I've never had this issue before, I opened the bag of food, grabbed some with a cup to pour some food on my dogs bowl and I find so many little worms, I was so disgusted and disappointed. NEVER AGAIN WALMART

Her stools firmed up from what her puppy food did. The middle price point works good for me. I am not convinced the expensive dog food is any better. All dogs have different allergies and stomachs. This works great for my dog.D

I stumbled upon this one after purchasing the puppy formula of the same brand for our new chihuahua puppy. We have now been Iams food for both of them for nearly a year now. Our big dog loves this food, and we like it because it gives him all the vitamins and minerals he needs to keep him healthy. It is more expensive than other brands, but we don't mind paying a little more to feed our fur-babies because they are not just animals, but family. We get the 15-20 pound bag to feed our big dog. We feed him twice a day, seven days a week, and the bag usually lasts approximately a week and a half.Amanda

I tried more expensive brands and she wasn't thrilled. I bought a small bag to try first. She ate it great every day. So I bought the big bag. I have 3 American Staffordshire Terriers, and while they're not small dogs, I find that feeding them small kibble makes them chew it better, so less mess and less chance of stomach problems with my one dog that has IBS. It's an easily digestible food, made with high quality ingredients, and it has NOT appeared on any of the lists of dry dog foods that were found to be causing heart problems in dogs. Best part of it is, they like it enough that I can actually give them a few as treats, and they're happy pups! The price of this food at Walmart can't be beat, and with 3 large dogs I have to watch the price point closely.Poisonesse

Im sure the delivery folks have grabbed it by the top to throw it on the trucks etc., so I got a sack of open dog food sitting out by my gate. Did not get ants in it so I was very lucky. Would be nice if they would go ahead and box it so that when I order 40 pounds of dog food I actually receive 40 pounds of dog foodJenrn61

Found this and they seem happy. They do not gorge themselves but also leave clean bowls at night. ( I set out the recommended amount for free-choice eating. ) My two have not had any upset tummies or other disruptions in their digestion. There are many choices out there for pet owners, I hope you find what meets your needs too.PainterB
