Solid as a rock Winch!
Let me preface this review by saying that I am very familiar with the Hyper Tough brand and have used many of their products products over the years and have never been disappointed. I have always liked their simplicity of design as well as their vibe as a brand. I'm glad to see the trend continues. This review will be broken down into categories for ease of use. Design – This ATV Winch is just exactly what the brand says...Tough and I'd prefer it no other way. Strong lines and colors that show it is meant to do the dirty work and revels in it. Functionality – Not surprisingly, this ATV Winch does exactly what you think it does, and that is get the job done. Very straight forward mounting and operation makes it a solid piece of equipment you can count on. Verdict – 5 out of 5! This is really an incredible product! As soon as I opened the box and got it mounted, I knew it was going to work just fine Even did some work just to test it out. I will definitely be keeping tabs on this brand for any other products they put out as well as already showing my friends how convenient it is. Hyper Tough has set the standard for a reason and earned a look at other products they put out in the future.

Strong winch not only for ATV
I am not planning on using this winch for ATVs but for haul stuff onto my hauling trailer. I have set it up on top of it and seems to be strong and durable. I was able to haul a car on top of my trailer so it meets my needs for when I am moving stuff or vehicles from place to place. I am planning on covering it to protect it from the weather but I thinks that will not be a problem. Regarding durability, I cannot still say anything because I have owned it for a few days but it has a solid construction. See my set up in the pictures.

    Seems to be well built. I mounted in the dack of my lawnmower trailer to load my lawnmower with, made a wiring harness to attach to my mower battery with spade connectors. I ran it in and out, it works faster than i expected.

    Packed with Power Winch
    I received the Hyper Tough 2500lbs winch system here recently and love the ease it offers for my 4-wheeler and other pull projects. No more stuck in the mud situations. I do wish this one had a remote like other models, but the system does what I need it to. Motor has some weight to it and feels like a solid and well-built product. The set up was easy for me as I had the extra plates needed to mount to the grill. I would recommend going over your mount area to make sure you have items that are needed or plan on what you need to secure the mount. The cable pulls from the winch easily and seems to have just enough muscle to get what I need pulled to follow. I think in all this is a great product and will do the smaller jobs and trailer tow ups. Just have patience.

    Four wheeler
    This is a pretty cool winch it replaces my ride along tow strap.we have a couple different size four wheelers and this is a nice addition to the big one. I have used it more then a few times already to get the kids smaller atvs unstuck. It was also long enough for me to use a near by tree to pull the big one, with the winch equipped, out of a muddy situation.

    Great to have down on the farm!
    Visiting my sister's farm, I thought the Hyper Tough 2,500 ATV electricwinch would be a great gift. The Hyper Tough winch took about a total of fifteen minutes to assemble, but we found it was a better fit on her Honda over her Yamaha, though there is a bracket that can be ordered, and a universal plate for easy attachment, if you have more than one ATV. So far she loves it, she has a goat pen that has to be relocated from time to time to get access to other equipment, and in the past it took several of us to move it. She informed me it was a breeze with her Hyper Tough 12volt electric winch attached to her Honda ATV. She also informs me that there are many more projects in her daily activities, that can be easily handles by her Hyper Tough winch.

    OMG, this thing is a beast!
    I have a E-350 van that weighs approximately 9k pounds. This winch pulled it out of a snow bank with little effort at all. I am going to remount this to a trailer to pull equipment up on to it later this year and will update this post. The remote is awesome to make sure you are safely positioned out of the way.

    Exceeded my expectations!
    First off, I own many, much more expensive winches so i have a very good idea of what paying more gets you. And this "cheap" winch FAR outdid my expectations. It is very well made, very heavy duty, comes with a great synthetic rope (which I prefer over cable) , great remote, and great quality accessories for pretty much any application you might need! Also, it is very well packaged. Very happy with what you get here for under $200. I personally mounted this winch on the front of one of my aluminum flatbed trailers and have been putting it thru the ringer and it has held up perfectly! Installation was a breeze and we are very happy with this "cheaper" winch. It holds its own right up there with the much more expensive brands!

    Back saver for sure
    The Hyper Tough 2,500 lb electric winch is a workhorse and comes with everything needed to complete the task. It has a 1.1 hp permanent magnetic motor for long life, a free spool feature for fast hook up, an automatic load holding brake for maximum safety, a 4 way steel roller fairlead which reduces friction and extends wire rope life, a forged hook, a control box, handlebar mounted rocker switch to operate the winch and wires that are marked with their connection point. It includes mounting bracket and hardware and comes pre-spooled with 50 feet of galvanized aircraft grade wire rope. I mounted the winch in the floor of my garage and use it to pull my motorcycle with sidecar into the garage backwards (no reverse) which makes driving out of the garage easier and safer. The motorcycle is a vn2000 cruiser which is very heavy by itself 732 lbs and the side car weighs another 200 lbs and this winch pulls them in with ease. Thanks Hyper Tough

    This thing is no joke
    Ok. Frankly I was little surprised, at this price point, how good this thing is. Decent 12,000 lb. winches generally START around twice this price. To me the biggest difference with this winch is the braided synthetic cable. I believe it's plenty strong enough, but it's lighter and causes less damage than a steel cable. I've been keeping a similar rope in my emergency kit for years and I've used it tow family vehicles short distances, etc. I'm actually planning to mount this winch a little differently than most folks. The marketing is all for truck/Jeep, but I'm a family man with a minivan. I don't think my front end is set up for loading, and I don't want it installed permanently anyway. I already have a Class III tow hitch installed by the dealership, so I was thinking I'd use it there. I looked it up and, luckily, there are removable cradles made specifically for the hitch. I'm not sure yet how the power supply works from the back, but it seems like a relatively easy problem to solve.
