I bought this ac on May 23 of this year and not even 2 months its frozen. Ice has build up and doesn't blow air normally. Now I need to reach customer service and may have to take my ac to them. Like I have time for this. I am very disappointed in the products I have recently purchased.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/06/2021Easy to useI got this about a month ago for my apartment and I am very pleased with it so far. It's very easy to use and it has sleep option, and eco option, and also auto. I have MS and this really helps out with the heat we're having here in Montana now. My brother was given the portable one and this one works better than his and was half the price. So far working good. :-)Unknown

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/12/2021It works well enoughonly two things make this unit good. the energy star rating and the remote sensor feature. otherwise, it is a bit of a disappointment for a Frigidaire product. it is much noisier than it was described as. and the styrofoam insulation is too thin to be truly effective. doesn't help either that the unit was rather beat up when it arrived. i attribute that one to poor handling by Fed-ex and weak packaging. if ac units were not so hard to come by when i purchased this, i would have returned it.garyjl

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/25/2021Big ChillI received my new 8000 BTU Window AC a couple week ago and it is working great. It is blowing out temperatures in high 30° Easy to use and regulate temperature in my room about 15x20. One thing I didn't like is that they took away the insulated side panels I use the one from old one. But other wise great unit.Jager1

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/23/2016Noisy UnitI liked the size/weight of this unit. Cooling capacity seemed more than adequate based on the recommended SF for the unit. However, the unit was much too noisy to consider keeping. Very noisy at even "low" fan speed setting. Very noisy outside as well. Condensate drainage hole also seemed to be located in a poor location to ensure adequate drainage of the condensate. This also contributed to the outside-noise. Returned the unit because of the noise issue as it was not feasible to occupy the same room when the unit was running. I had some concerns about a potential noise issue based on prior reviews but decided to order anyway based on my experience with a Frigidaire de-humidifier that I have owned for 5 years without any issues.Troutman

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/16/2016Frigidaire 8K BTU Air ConditionerBought this compact window a/c to cool & dehumidify a 1 bedroom apartment over a garage. Several factors went into selecting this unit: 1st, it had to fit in the only available window for an a/c, and this one did by 1/2 inch; 2nd, it had to be able to cool the main room of the apartment AND the adjoining bedroom, which it does very well; 3rd, I wanted the highest efficiency a/c unit for the capacity, and this one fits that requirement as well (12 EER for 8K BTU; and 4th, it had to be reasonably priced AND have a better-than-average star rating, and once again, this one hit both marks. It's only been installed for about 3 weeks as of this writing so I can't comment on it's longevity/reliability. I will say that I bought a very affordable 3-year warranty for it just in case things go south. I'll be very happy if I don't have to use the warranty, but even happier if I have to.NavySpy

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/02/2016Frigidaire 8,000 BUT A/C UnitI was glad to see that the dimensions of this unit were listed correctly (as opposed to my previous purchase 3 years ago). Unit works great and I really like the fact that the remote has a thermostat control in it. I can set the remove across the room and when the desired temp is reached, it shuts the unit down per the t-stat. Nice feature and it'll obviously save electricity by shutting down at times.swabe
