Some of the thread 'stripes' are raised and add a layer of texture that resembles grasscloth. The colors are so much more vibrant in person: The varied day shades of grey, champagne 'gold' and deeper gray weave that is lightly blended with warm beige threads. This rug pops. The only thing to consider: the 'sides' of the rug are 'finished' in silky beige and the ends are not. Not a biggy for me but something to consider if you want entire rug border in same thread shades.JoJo
