Everything was provided in the box.
I am a female senior and after watching on YouTube how to put a window air condition in (by myself) today I removed my old AC and placed my new AC in. I took my time remembering everything I learned on the YouTube how to videos and I am pleased with the results. See picture.. very cold air.

    Top rail bent. Lackluster customer service.
    Box arrived in good shape. Packaging is great..except..they hang the top rail over the top of the styrofoam packaging..??! It is completely exposed, protected only by the outer cardboard box. Doesnt take a genius to know that section of the box is probably the most vulnerable spot for taking hits so it is absolutely baffling that they would put a rail that needs to be perfectly straight to accept the side rails in that position. So, like some other reviews, mine was bent on the left side. We were actually in a heat wave the day I received so I called the defects number to see what my options were. Nobody answered so I left a message. Im fairly handy and wanted the unit installed ASAP so I used a rubber mallet and some blocks to get it back to the point where everything lined up. I was pretty gentle with the mallet but still ended up with marks and the paint on the inside edge is stress cracked down to the bare metal. I was able to install it, hoping I could perhaps get a new rail shipped to me. The company hasnt called me back and it has been 6 weeks so Im deducting a star for non responsiveness. As for the a/c unit.. it gets the job done. I got it for $160 plus my electric company offered a rebate so it was cheaper than the ge unit I bought 4 years ago. The air is ice cold. The sound is odd to describe. I have a ge and a keystone ac unit in other rooms. This unit is quieter in db level. However it has a higher low end bass-like noise. This a/c is in a bedroom and sometimes when Im in my living room and this a/c kicks on it sounds like a phone vibrating on a table in another room. Overall it is a good unit. I would expect the top rail to be bent if you get this a/c and wouldnt expect any customer service. If you set your expectations at that level you probably wont be disappointed with this purchase.

    The item was damaged!!! The Top rail was damaged. The right side of top rail is fine and right filler panel could fit into the top rail. However, the right side of top rail is curving so that left filler panel is impossible to fit into the top rail!!! I even bought two years walmart protection. It is so disappointing.

    Disappointed but desperate
    Item was damaged. The top bar on the air conditioner was bent beyond repair luckily the bar from the air conditioner I was replacing fit or I wouldnt have been able to install it one of the batteries for the remote was totally crushed and unusable the aluminum back is already dented in spots This is day one hope this thing continues to work would have sent it back but at this point its to hot and as long as it cools Ill keep it but Ill never order this online again

    great unit and very quiet
    I ordered this AC and then tried to cancel after reading all of the negative reviews. I'm so glad I was unable to cancel the order. This AC works great - it cools our downstairs (it's an open layout, approximately 800 sq.ft.) and it's so quiet. We have a more expensive AC unit in our master bedroom and it is MUCH louder than this one. We have to turn it off to watch TV. Not this unit, you don't even notice that it's on. Not sure if the other unit is louder because it is an 8,000 BTU or if it's just brand differences, but either way we are very happy with this unit. The unit did arrive with a small dent in the back of the unit, but since it doesn't affect our use of it, we don't mind.

    I only rate it 3 stars becuse it was damaged
    We were excited to get a new ac and we were impressed with how quick it arrived. However when I opened the box this new ac was already damaged. Air conditioners are hard to come by locally so I cant just exchange it and this was apparently the last in stock online, and the last thing I want to be doing is trying to exchange an ac. So I cotinued to put it together. It gets extreemly cold but it fills with water and condensation and stops cooling properly. I would say its worth the money if you dont get a damaged product. Update: I didn't post this immediately and continued to use the ac, there is a drain plug on the bottom of the ac that solved all the excessive water collection in the unit. There is still condensation or water coming out at the top but that is probably from it being damaged. Other than that it gets so cold I turn it off throughout the day.
