Easy to put on and take off, comfortable all day.
I received a pair of Avia Men's Quickstep Strap Wide Width Walking Shoes in size 9. The shoes fit nicely and it's easy to adjust the straps to get just the right fit. They look great on my feet and are perfect to wear while walking my dog, going shopping, and even going out to eat. We have been cleaning the house and throwing away a lot of stuff and my feet feel good at the end of a long day thanks to the wide width and memory foam insoles. It's so easy to put them on and take off. These are my new go-to shoes for everyday use.

Disappointed in less than a month.
Bought this less than a month ago. They're coming apart. Bought the same kind through Amazon previously, they fell apart. I thought it was a fluke so I tried them again. Disappointed.

Not only did the cloth come off the top of them, one was missing a good chunk of cushioning. As in it came off, and not just worn down. This is the first pair of insoles I needed to replace so fast. The other issue I had was the velcro straps, possibly related, not being long enough to tighten them well.Daniel

The memory foam will rub on the toes at first, but once they form to your feet, they fit like a glove. The hook & loop straps make it easy to put them on and take them off; and you can tighten and loosen the straps to fit your comfort level.BREWNO

For me, I have wide feet, need a big toe box and this shoe has these things. It took me a few days to get used to the shoes because I am on my feet and walking a lot at work in a warehouse environment. The memory foam insoles remained comfortable even on the hottest days. I wore them for 3/4 hours a day for about a week and now wear them all day. Anyone with wide feet and needing a bigger toe box should consider trying these. For those that just want the loose yet comfortable fit of straps rather than shoestrings, I would also recommend them.Riney

For years I have always had a pair in the home. These shoes are very well-made in the uppers and the insoles are very comfortable. The straps are well-made and are easily adjustable to my medium wide feet. Unfortunately, the soles of the shoes are stiff and are stamped of one solid piece which makes them difficult to flex. This causes difficulty walking and uncomfortable pinching across the ball of my feet. Unlike other shoes I have purchased in the last dozen years these soles or not well-designed and do not have walking features at the toe or at the heel. 5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/28/2021Affordable Strap Walking ShoesCOMFORT - I virtually never buy shoes without trying them on because my feet are wide, but I took a chance on these Avia Quicksteps by ordering them in E width. They fit nicely and, partly due to the memory foam footbed, they are comfortable. Having said that, now that it is mid-summer and I live in the South, I avoid shoes altogether when I can get away with it— I go barefoot around the house and wear sandals where I can when I am out and about. UTILITY - This fall, when it is cooler, I expect to put some miles on these as they are comfortable walking shoes. Since I sail, I have to mention that the non-marking soles makes them a natural on a yacht. STYLE - When my wife teased me about these “old man tennis shoes,” I reminded her that other ages and genders wear shoes with Velcro straps. She conceded that young children also wear them! Just for the record, I have no difficulty bending over to tie my shoes, but I have to admit that the straps are convenient. I am accustomed to adjusting the tension on my shoestrings depending upon whether I am running, walking, or sitting. Adjusting these straps simplifies and shortens this task. VALUE – The sticker price ($24.97) makes them affordable and the fact that they have leather in them suggests that they will wear well.Hoefer

They are fairly light weight though seem sturdy. They are comfortable and do add a bit of a bounce to your step, having a reasonably thick memory foam in the sole.Bruce

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/26/2021Not for fat feet.The shoes came as a "Wide" version but the problem for me being a large person and having fat feet was the top strap could not make contact with enough of the Velcro to keep it tight and would come off after only a step or two. The bottom strap had slightly more contact so it stayed on . The shoes felt fine and not tight at all on my feet just needed another inch of Velcro at the start of the strap or the strap lengthened some. I think most people won't have this problem and they do feel good on my feet even with the loose top strap.Possumlips

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/25/2021Good mix of comfort and durability at a low price.Because of previous foot issues, I wear nothing but the cushiest shoes I can find. The bottom of my feet is super sensitive. For that reason, I have always worn another brand of walking shoes and tennis shoes. I was very surprised when I first walked around in these Avia shoes. The insole is very cushy and comfortable. There is little if any arch support, which I don't need, but you need to be aware of this. The outer sole is hard and appears to be durable. The tongue is soft and flexible. The heel tab is fairly cushy and supple as well. I have had cushier shoes, but you tend to sacrifice durability and longevity when you opt for soft, springy shoes. The most comfortable shoes I have ever owned were made of the softest rubber I have ever seen on a shoe. They fell apart in no time. They were always super comfortable but needed to be replaced frequently. As walking shoes go, these reach a happy medium. These should hold up for a relatively long time but provide good comfort. You will have to “break them in”. They are rather stiff at first. You can use them in many different situations. You can even wear black as a dress shoe. At this great price, I recommend these shoes.drpepper888
