Non Slip good support block
I do not do Yoga, but I DO use this in my exercises that physical therapy designed for me in recovering from bilateral knee replacements. The exercises are more like Pilates mat work outs. Adding my heel or toe on the block changes the muscle group of my workout and makes it sometimes easier and sometimes more challenging, depending on the exercise. Never did the block slip despite being on a mat, carpet or hard floor. I was a little nervous on the hard floor but it stayed put! It's pretty sturdy enough to hold my weight without any damage that I can see. I would recommend the ATHLETIC WORKS YOGA BLOCK, in fact buy two!

Nice Yoga Block
This Athletic Works Yoga Block is easy to handle for my smaller hands. It is lightweight and measures nine by six by three inches (9”x6”x3”). The block is made of a durable foam material and does not slide on a yoga mat. I am familiar with the clothing and shoes under the Athletic Works name and those are of high quality too. The beveled edges are smooth and comfortable and the block is a solid yet soft yoga block. I used it as a cushion to achieve poses that might normally be challenging for me, like downward dog. I used it to focus my core when I put between my feet and compressed. Depending on how it is used, it can support one's body or it can challenge you to achieve greater intensity of a stretch. It is lightweight and I think it is going to add a lot to my yoga practice and I look forward to using it more. This block can be used not only for yoga, but for meditation and Pilates. The block provides the stability and balance needed for a good yoga workout and works on or off a mat. This would make a great gift for any Yoga and Pilates fan.

I had to buy an extra set of these to use to secure underneath my tv. I have it mounted to the wall, but I needed something to put directly underneath it to take some of the pressure off of the wall mount. I already had a set of these very sturdy yoga blocks. They were perfect. Had to go buy a 2nd set so I could use them for exercising. My little girl also likes to sit on them when she sits down to eat a snack or stand on in the bathroom to brush her teeth. So these blocks can be used for just about anythingJermaineWifey

I never thought Yoga was for me until I tried some simple Yoga exercises that I found on-line for the area of my body I need help with. After only taking 10 minutes a day my back pain reduced a couple of pain levels. Now that I have the Athletic Works Yoga Block I'm able to search the internet for additional exercises that I can perform in my home. The Athletic Works Yoga Block is very sturdy and very stable. My grandchild even got caught using it as a football and it held up great, very sturdy. Great beginners yoga block. I use YouTube videos to do yoga with and it's so nice to reach for a block or 2 when they reference that option or when I'm sitting crisscross and my legs are tight. It's nice to get my butt off the mat a little so I can open up my chest, sit tall and breathe without struggling with my tail and lower back bones. This is a very good yoga block. For me works well for my back pain, photo included as I am using it. The block is very hard, but it will come back to it's shape if you press hard.
