Buy this.
First, it just works. Insert pod, keep it watered, give it food, you will get plants. The leaves on my herbs are huge, tasty, always fresh, and - since I tend to only cook on weekends - seemingly inexhaustible. My only recommendation is to get more pod bays than you at first want - I wish I had room for more. My only criticism is that the pods tend to crowd. I trim pretty aggressively, and still my thyme and sage keep trying to take the light from my rosemary, which is apparently a short-stemmed variety. If you have light issues, a brown thumb, or just want plants without hassle, buy this, you will not regret it.

Moldy insides
The tomato plant is too big for the system and a lot of the mold inside the unit makes you not even wanna eat the few tomato's that the unit produces. The tomato plant is dying and the tomatoes aren't even ripe yet. I wish I would've just picked fresh Herbs cause I think that's the only thing that you can use with this unit if the inside where the water goes doesn't mold.

    It's so easy to grow and maintain. What I love is the ability to just clip off fresh greens at any time for a salad or a sandwich. So much better taste than store bought.

    Very happy customer!
    I am enjoying the fresh herbs and finding new recipes to use them in. The basils have been the best growers (genovese, napolitano and thai), but the min and thyme also grow well. No luck yet with dill or rosemary, but customer service is great and send out replacements at no charge if they dont sprout within 21 days. Looking forward to trying tomatoes next!

    Aerogarden Elite for herbs
    Reminds you to add water every other day and to add plant food biweekly. If you go away for a few days your plants are done. Also noticed small flies coming out it and not sure how to remedy that. Basil overtakes every other herb. Dill and parsley are struggling for room and light. Not pleased with this product.

    Love my new AeroGarden !!!!
    I've only planted the salad greens. I love having fresh lettuce everyday. I like that the machine tells me how long since I planted. I'm on day 65 and still getting a lot, but have noticed it slowing down a bit. I was surprised at how often I needed to add water. When the plants were young I added water about every 4 days, now it's probably every other day. It's well worth the time I spend keeping them up.

    Growing herbs has never been this easy!
    All pods germinated within the given time frame. I had planted basil, mint and thyme and coriander. From day 0- 30 is low maintenance, however After day 50 managing the growth requires some attention.

    Love it!
    I love this thing, I love having fresh herbs right on my counter when I need them. I have already gone through my herb garden and have started flowers just for fun. I do need to learn how to transplant to other containers before spring because all my herbs died when I tried to relocate them but I think I just waited too long. I also like how it brightens up my countertop.
